New Short Film on Generation-Gap,Father-Son Relation & The End of It... is READY to be shot now :-)

We are closing in the pre production phase for our next short film titled, REFLECTION. We present the synopsis of the film for you:

From YOU, I emerge and then again into YOU I merge.
We may speak a thousand words about generation gap between parents and children; but is there any gap in reality between one generation and the other? This question would prick the audience when they watch this short film. This entire gap in the thought process of two people distanced by time seems to be superficial in the mind of the young and old.  They are volatile and momentary in this long journey called life.
When the young son of Monotosh, Sumit quarrels with his father almost every day for justifying this late return after office; he is almost certain that it is his father who cannot understand him.  His father too seems to in the perpetual old thought that his son is a lost case and has run miles ahead without him. These late night quarrels encourages Sumit to leave his father and his house which are both very old and generations apart from Sumit.  His father too falls victim to the generation gap and curses his son for not being aligned to his thoughts.
However, the futile advices and the curse from his father haunts him to his new house too when he gets separated from his father and starts living alone. All throughout his life and ultimately to his inner self, Sumit starts finding reflections of his father’s mind through some peculiar, unnatural and sometimes scary threads that ultimately binds a son and his father.
But is it too late when Sumit picks up the vibes from these unnatural threads or is Sumit just in time to immerse himself to his blood relation and nullify the generation gap?

New short film THE EXIT enters the arena

Dear Friends,

When an unknown guest comes to an apartment of an established and rich executive; it seems to be a simple case of mistaken identity. But the table turns around when the guest starts questioning about the man's very existence; his ambitions, his need for prosperities and his ability to lead a posh lifestyle.
The host is taken aback; looks perplexed and does not measure the gravity of the discussions. He becomes angry and tries to throw the guest out of his home.

Ultimately though, the guest takes THE EXIT from his home, leaving everything a man WANTS in his life; but taking the only thing a man NEEDS in his life !!

Watch our next new short film, THE EXIT to be a witness to this confrontation between the 2 characters in the host's posh apartment.

Happy watching !!

New Short film in the way...

Dear Friends,

Last year I read a email about the way we live our lives and the way we should live our lives...It grew interesting enough by the time, the last 2 lines of the mail were approached, "we live as if we are never going to die...and we die as if we never lived".

Those 2 lines echoed quite long in my ears as I left office and started out from office for reaching home...By the time I reached home, I cooked up a small story revolving around this thought...

The story has already passed many stages of film-making and I am about to come up with a new short film in another month...Hope this story helps us to live our lives the way we should... :-)

Keep watching !!

'Short films' in the 'Big' Indian Picture

Dear Friends,

Unlike full length Feature films which has created a really big market in India, Short Films do not have close relations with the general people of India.

We as ardent short film lovers should try to bridge the gap between independent short film makers and the producers/ presenters and the distributors to give our short films a theatrical release.

We could come together and digitally release, say 4/5 shorts of same/ different makers under one slot of 1-1.5 hours.

It is only through the mass release of short films and their collective marketing that short films can survive the competition in the markets.

Hence I urge philanthropists, art lovers of India to come forward and share their views and give suggestions as to how we can build a rock solid foundation for short films which would help independent film makers to further experiment and nurture their talents in future.

All the best !!
